Monash Law students win AAT mooting grand final

A team of Monash Law students has won the grand final of the 2022 Administrative Appeals Tribunal National Mooting Competition.
It is the first time the AAT Moot has been won by a Victorian team since its inception 18 years ago.
Congratulations to team members Vishal Vivekananda, Christopher Kounelis, Sophia Cookson and Georgia Nicholson. Christopher Kounelis was also awarded Best Advocate.
Congratulations to the runners-up team from UNSW.
Monash Law fielded two teams in this event, and both teams competed against each other in the quarter finals - an amazing achievement. Congratulations to our other incredible team comprising Jessie Wen, Mahmoud Kashoa, Ella Stonier-Watson and Tamsin May Plotnek.
The teams were ably assisted by students William Liu and Jeremy Brown who have many mooting accolades to their names.
A big thank you to William Lye OAM KC who brings many decades of experience to his role as coach of both teams. Thanks also to the assistance provided by Chong Quaik, Principal at Aitken Partners.
