Integrating Digital Economy and Green Economy – opportunities for sustainable development of collaborative platforms and digital technologies
Why is your research important?
The overall objectives of my doctoral thesis are to explore the impact of the new digital technologies and trending collaborative platforms on economic growth, and to provide de lege postulates to make existing regulations more sustainable, accessible, and eco-friendly. This work will provide novel insights into the topic of sustainability of digital economy, increasing the theoretical knowledge on this subject through large interdisciplinary research and combining different perspectives. The extensive critical analysis will id in creating and advancing the theory on this newly emerging topic. I strongly believe that this research is incredibly relevant in today's globalised world, as digital economy encompasses many topics of interest in the modern climate, such as big data analytics, robotics, automation, Internet of Things, and cloud computing. This highlights the importance of this research and shows the impact the work will have on other disciplines –from economics to computer science. I firmly believe that the digital transformation holds huge potential for improving people’s lives and accelerate progress towards sustainable development goals.
