Microcredential
Receiving academic credit
Some programs may offer the option to obtain a credit towards a Monash University award course (such as a degree or graduate certificate), where the microcredential (assessed) version of the professional development program is selected.
Successful completion of a microcredential does not guarantee admission into an award coruse. Prospective students must meet the eligibility and admission requirements for the award course. A microcredential can only be used as credit towards a single degree on one occasion.
If a student has already obtained the maximum credit available to an award course through other means, they will not be granted extra credit as a result of completing this short program.
Transferring from the microcredential to the short program version
Written applications (via email to the program owner) to withdraw from the microcredential (assessed) version of a program and transfer to the short program (non-assessed) version will be accepted up to six business days prior to program commencement.
Cost of assessment is non-refundable if withdrawal occurs:
- 14 calendar days or less prior to program commencement (for all programs), or
- once the program has commenced.
Transferring from the short program to the microcredential version
Written applications (via email to the program owner) to withdraw from the short program (non-assessed) version of a program and transfer to the microcredential (assessed) version will be accepted up until the due date for the first program assessment. Participants will be required to pay the difference in fees between the two program versions.
Participants who do not register in or transfer to the microcredential version by the date specified will be required to repeat the program if they later choose to take the microcredential version.
