Medical AI Masterclass (August 28 DAY TWO)

The medical AI masterclass will guide participants through the latest advances in medical AI from both a practical and conceptual lens. The masterclass is a collaboration between the Monash Medical Technology Lab, the Monash Institute of Medical Engineering, the School of Translational Medicine and Alfred Health.

Day 2 (August 28) will cover conceptual advances, field dynamics, how to frame research/clinical projects and state-of-the-art research for large language models and foundation models, followed by a project generation workshop in the afternoon.

Instructor

The masterclass will be led by A/Prof. Khoa N. Cao, Director of the Monash Medical Technology Lab and Associate Professor of Medicine & Engineering at the Monash School of Medicine and Monash Institute of Medical Engineering. Khoa trained in medicine at Monash University and engineering at Stanford University and has worked in medical AI at IBM Watson, the University of Oxford, the University of California, San Francisco and Stanford University.
