Eduroam

Eduroam is the Monash wireless network for staff, students and visitors from participating institutions.

How to connect

If eduroam doesn’t connect automatically, select it in your Wi-Fi settings and choose Forget network before following the steps below.

  1. In your Wi-Fi settings, select the network eduroam.
  2. Enter your Monash email address as your username.
    • Staff example: firstname.lastname@monash.edu
    • Student example: username@student.monash.edu
  3. Enter your Monash account password.
  4. If prompted, use the following settings:
    • EAP method: PEAP
    • Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPv2
    • CA certificate: Trust on first use (TOFU)
    • Anonymous identity: Must enter Monash email address
    • Domain: monash.edu

Prato Guest Wi-Fi

The Prato Guest Wi-Fi network is available to visitors. Monash staff and students should use eduroam.

How to connect

  1. In your Wi-Fi settings, select Prato Guest Wi-Fi and use the password or QR code provided on campus.
  2. Wait for the browser window to open.
  3. Read and accept the Acceptable Use Policy and click Sign in with Email.
  4. Entering your Name and Email, accept the policy again, and click Send Access Code.
  5. Your access code will be sent to your email.
    • If you don't have internet access, use your organizer’s email or ask Prato Staff for help.
  6. Enter the code you received and click Sign in to connect.

Your account can only be used for one device. If you have multiple devices, you’ll need to register them separately.
