2016 Conference: Postgraduate Call for Papers

Looking Back, Looking Forward: Japanese Studies in Australia

October 14-15, 2016

Postgraduate students engaging with Japan or Japanese Studies are invited to participate in this interdisciplinary conference. Papers situated within any discipline and utilising any methodological/theoretical approach are welcome. The conference explicitly seeks to engage with emerging theoretical and/or applied research which approaches the study of Japan through new and innovative paradigms.

Submissions are welcome from postgraduate students at any stage of their degrees. Honours students are also invited to participate. Submissions from current postgraduate and Honours students based outside Victoria will automatically be considered for a travel subsidy of up to $200. Subsidies will be awarded on a competitive basis and announced at the same time as abstract acceptance.

If you are interested in participating, please submit an abstract of no more than 250 words by Monday 15th August using the following online form. Your abstract will be assessed and feedback will be provided by the organising committee by Monday, 22nd August.
