Self-service equipment

Staff and students from SoMP have access to basic equipment in the G19 Storeroom. You can access this equipment by swiping your student/staff ID.

Please ensure the storeroom is left tidy and that borrowed equipment is returned in a timely manner. Equipment (especially microphones and cables) sees heavy use during peak periods and returning equipment immediately ensures that there is enough to go around.

Activate your Monash ID card

If you are an SoMP student your Monash ID card will be activated automatically for building and general room access.

Specialised access for Percussion, Drum, Creative Music Technology and Composition students, please email the booking team for assistance: Arts-PAC-Room-Bookings@monash.edu.

For staff access, please email the booking team for assistance: Arts-PAC-Room-Bookings@monash.edu.

Booking equipment

A wider range of musical instruments, audio and lighting equipment can be booked using the SmartHub (SISO) booking system.

Booking rooms

Accessing rooms

Most booked rooms can be accessed by swiping your Monash ID card at the door.

For the following rooms below, a key or fob is required:

• Music Auditorium
• Performance Theatre
• Rehearsal Room
• Dance Studio

Keys/Fobs can be collected from the Tech office (G18) prior to 4:00pm on the day of your booking. Keys/Fobs should be deposited in the 101 key return slot on the first floor immediately following your booking.

Having trouble?

Accessing rooms

If you are having issues accessing rooms, please check that you have completed the activation process (above) and wait for up to 48 hours for access to be updated. For access to rooms during standard hours, call the duty technician on: 990 51695. If you are still experiencing issues and need to setup your Monash ID card for room access, contact the bookings team for assistance: Arts-PAC-Room-Bookings@monash.edu.
