Changes in access to civil justice

Australians have a formal right to justice and equal treatment before the law, but what does ‘access to justice’ in the civil sphere really mean?

Project background and aims

The project aims to explore the notion of access to justice and impacts of changes, developments and innovations in civil justice including no-win-no-charge, class actions, litigation funding, pro bono and more government assistance through the internet.

The analysis will combine traditional legal doctrinal with an online survey of the access to civil justice of average Australians.
