Global Executive MBA student, Chiaw Hui Tang.
Chiaw Hui Tang’s career has been anything but ordinary.
With a background in commerce and law from Monash, and experience spanning public service, not-for-profit organisations and startups, Ms Tang’s resume reflects a passion for diversity.
Her latest professional challenge? Returning to university to pursue a Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) at Monash University.
“The GEMBA isn’t just for business-minded people - it’s for anyone looking to enhance their skills in any sector,” she said.
Ms Tang said the program’s innovative curriculum was helping her cultivate a “deeper systematic mindset”.
“Teamwork, collaboration, and leadership are consistent themes across the program, and these skills are essential in any organisation,” she said.
Choosing full-time study allowed her to effectively manage both her academic and personal commitments.
“I made a conscious decision to devote myself to the program full time so I could fully engage with the program and still be present for my family,” she said.
Her advice to prospective students is to approach learning as a life-long pursuit.
“Come with an open mind and heart, and a willingness to get to know your cohort, because you’ll be spending so much time with them,” she said.
