Google Chat is an informal way to chat with colleagues by text, voice or video chats, either one-on-one or as part of a group. Instead of spending time writing emails, use Chat to grab someone's attention and convey your message quickly.

You can access Google Chat directly from your Monash Gmail account.

An alternative to Slack

In Google Chat you can private message your colleagues, create collaborative spaces and share files just as you might in Slack, except with the added bonus that it is more easily accessible through your Gmail account and allows you to smoothly navigate between other Google products such as Google Docs, Sheets and Slides.
