Orientation marks the official start to the semester for new students. It is designed to help you settle into university and prepare you for the start of classes. Take the opportunity to find out about the different teaching and learning processes of the university, familiarise yourself with your new surroundings, learn more about your course and get to know the Faculty of Law and other new students.

Undergraduate students

Orientation week (O-Week) marks the official start to the semester. The Faculty of Law organises a series of activities to help law undergraduates settle into university life. More information about O-Week, please review the section on Orientation resources.

Juris Doctor students

You are required to attend the orientation session held at the Monash Law Chambers located at 555 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne. Details of the orientation sessions are as follows:

Trimester 2: 27 April 2021
Trimester 3: TBC August 2021

Time: 10.00am - 2.00pm

Students who have accepted their offer will receive an invitation to attend the orientation session.

Postgraduate students

You will be notified by the Postgraduate Law Student Services Office whether you need to attend an orientation session.
