We recognise research experience comes in many forms and is increasingly embedded in professional or industry roles, especially where you are an established professional. This is why, when considering applicants for admission and scholarship, we consider your experience in industry or a professional environment where it may be relevant to your research project and equivalent to a research intensive course.
In addition to your tertiary academic qualifications, you need to be able to demonstrate a capacity to carry out independent research and have relevant training, qualifications, knowledge and ability to pursue the proposed course of study and research project.

Publications authored by the applicant in reputable academic or industry journals - Professional Accreditations
Fellowship or professional accreditations of an industry organisation - Industry Awards
Innovation or development awards - Academic Awards
Honorary degrees or professorial roles awarded for civic or industry contributions - Industry/Government Grants
Funding grants awarded by either Industry, a Non-Governmental Organisation or an international or Australian governmental body - Substantial Relevant Work/ Industry Experience
Evidence of at least five years professional experience, demonstrating team leadership, research and/or strategic development in an area relevant to the proposed research project - Government/Technical Reports
Reports authored by the applicant for Non-Governmental Organisation, civil society or a governmental body which meet scholarly/peer review standards
