Learning objectives

Upon completion of the Women in Leadership program participants will:

  • Understand the principles of leadership
  • Understand and describe gender and intersectional barriers and enablers to career advancement and leadership
  • Gain insight into power, influence and the value and role of leadership
  • Identify their drivers for leadership and influence and their purpose in leading
  • Participate in a dynamic community of Women wanting to deliver impact

Course outline

Self-paced, pre-work e-module to be completed prior to Day 1

Please allow approximately 8 hours to complete; you will have access to the e-module 2 weeks prior to the facilitated program

  • Background and the need for gender equity in healthcare leadership
  • Beyond gender: leadership and the intersection of marginalised identities
  • Leadership styles, mentoring and networking, and leadership through purpose
  • Self-reflective activities, pre-reading requirements and additional resources
