International students under 18

If you’re an international student under 18 on a Student visa (subclass 500) and accept an offer to live at Monash University Accommodation, you must be in the care of the Monash Guardianship Service.

Extra support while you're under 18

Students under 18 receive additional support from our Residential Life Team and Community Support Officers, who meet with you regularly to check in on your wellbeing, provide guidance and help you settle into residential life. You can also reach out at any time with questions or concerns, so you’ll have support when you need it.

Applying for accommodation if you're under 18

If you’re under 18, you can apply for accommodation in the same way as everyone else. If you receive an offer, there’s just one additional document to complete as part of the acceptance process. Your parent or guardian will need to sign the document to confirm they agree to you living independently at Monash University Accommodation.

1. Apply for accommodation

Submit your application for on-campus accommodation online.

2. Accept your offer with parent or guardian approval

If you receive an accommodation offer while you’re under 18, your parent or guardian will need to provide consent for you to live on campus as part of the offer acceptance process.
