Monash’s Prato Campus is located in the beautiful, heritage-listed Palazzo Vaj, right in the historic centre of Prato, a vibrant Tuscan city just 20 minutes by train from Florence.

Prato offers everything you’d expect from an Italian study experience. Think medieval streets, a 13th-century castle, local markets, incredible food and a strong sense of community. You’ll be surrounded by art, history and culture every day, with plenty of time to travel and explore more of Italy and Europe.

Program details

  • Eligibility

    Open to Monash Arts students (single or double degrees) who have completed at least 48 credit points by February 2026, subject to course progression checks and space availability.

  • Units and Credit Points

    Complete 18 or 24 credit points in interdisciplinary Monash Arts units. These can count as Arts electives, Professional Futures, free electives, or, if you're a Bachelor of Global Studies student, towards your compulsory Global Mobility component.

  • Program Dates

    Units begin in September 2026 and finish in November or December, depending on how many credit points you're studying.

  • Enrolment Requirements

    Students must not be enrolled in any Australian campus units during the semester of the program.
