Day of Classical Voice

DAY OF CLASSICAL VOICE

Sunday 13th of September 10am - 2.45pm

Check-in opens at 9.45am

Australian Repertoire will be the focus for this year's classical voice day. This event is tailored to those students, performers and teachers who are passionate about Australian vocal compositions. This day will be ideal for those preparing their VCE repertoire (the requirement for a work by an Australian artist since 1990), and anyone who has an interest in our home grown composers.

  • EXPLORE On the day we will explore some solo and ensemble pieces that could be perfect for your program
  • MASTERCLASS You can have feedback from experts on your Australian or chosen aria/song. Selected participants may be chosen as soloists in the concert
  • NEW WORKS We will debut some brand new works from our own brilliant staff (including Aaron Wyatt and Johannes Luebbbers), and our own composition students. Paul Grabowsky is generously allowing unpublished works from his chamber work Banquet of Secrets to be shown
  • CONCERT PREPARATION Rehearsal with our classical voice students on an ensemble item (practice tracks will be sent to you in advance)
  • FREE CONCERT The day culminates in a free concert which is open to the public
Places in masterclasses are limited so please get in quick!
