Lan Dang

Senior Advisor

Lan is currently the Acting Chief Economist at the Australian Financial Security Authority (AFSA), a Commonwealth Government Agency looking after personal insolvency.

Prior to this role, she served as a Senior Economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia, where she specialised in credit and liquidity risk research associated with financial institutions’ off balance sheet assets.

Lan also has extensive experience in the private sector, having worked as a Pricing Analytics Manager at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

Lan is passionate about combining AI deep learning algorithms and conventional economic research to gain a deeper understanding of the complexities in consumer decision making related to credit and investment activities.
