Electrical Bay
An electrical manufacturing and diagnostics area for general extra low voltage electronics work (under 60v), with a delineated area for suitably trained team members to undertake high voltage accumulator work (over 60v) on their team vehicle’s Lithium-based battery pack.
Prerequisite training
Makerspace Project Studios General Induction.
Access
- You must attend and complete the Makerspace LV Electrical Bay induction and skills training session to gain approval to work in this area.
- Additional training is available for users covering soldering skills, working with LiPo battery cells, reflow oven operation and more.
- HV work is only permissible by suitably trained and approved personnel, and this work must only be undertaken during Makerspace staffed opening hours - weekdays between 8am - 6pm.
