Welding Bay

A well-organised, safety-conscious environment with designated booths for students to work on metal fabrication projects.

Prerequisite training

  • Makerspace Project Studios General Induction.
  • Makerspace Light Fabrication Area and skills training.

Access

  • This area is only available during Makerspace staffed opening hours - weekdays between 8am - 6pm.
  • Makerspace manufacturing areas are closed in the evenings, on university public holidays and over the weekends.
  • To gain access to this area, you must first attend and complete a Makerspace Welding skills training session, this training is an introduction to basic MIG and TIG welding of mild steel.
