Examinations information for JD students
The information below is a selection of the faculty specific examination information for JD students only. You will find the complete university information on the homepage of Monash University Examinations.
Please note that the exams for JD core units (LAW5000 to LAW5018) will be conducted online with remote supervision through eVigiliation. Detailed information about eVigilation is available on the University’s eExams website, along with a general knowledge practice exam so you can familiarise yourself with the platform.
Timetable
Six weeks before the examination period commences your exam timetable will be released via Allocate+. You will find instructions on how to view your exams in Allocate+ on the How to view your final assessments in Allocate+ web page.
Alternative Assessment Arrangements
To be eligible to sit an examination under alternative arrangements, you must have active registration with Disability Support Services (DSS). If you have approved alternative assessment arrangements through DSS registration, you will be notified of your exam arrangements approximately two weeks prior to the commencement of the exam period.
In the case of a quiz held within the trimester, the Student and Academic Services team in Law will automatically apply any extra time for students with active AAAs. The cut-off for these AAAs to apply is one week prior to the quiz opening.
Format
Any questions regarding the format of examinations, such as what materials you are allowed to bring to an examination, or the type of examination should be directed to your lecturer.
Special Consideration
You may apply for special consideration if your exam has been affected by serious illness or other serious cause. Please apply under the 'scheduled final assessments' tab when applying for special consideration for end of trimester exams.
