Graduate Research Scholarships
Monash Law graduate research students intending to enrol in either the Master of Philosophy or Doctor of Philosophy programs can apply for a range of graduate research scholarships to support their studies..
In addition to stipend and tuition fee scholarships, there are top-up stipend scholarships available to outstanding successful scholarship applicants.
Scholarship applications
Students intending to apply for scholarships are requested to submit their expression of interest to the Faculty at least 6-8 weeks before the closing date of each scholarship round.
There are four scholarship rounds each year. Please refer to the scholarship application closing dates for each round.

Scholarship eligibility
Applicants who can establish first-class honours (H1) equivalency are eligible to apply. Applications for scholarship are submitted at the same time as applying for the relevant course and require a letter of invitation from the Faculty.

University wide H1 equivalence (H1E)
The Monash Graduate Research Office has established procedures to determine H1 equivalence. However, students applying for postgraduate scholarships in the Faculty of Law are advised to refer also to the Faculty-specific guidelines.
