The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) research program supports and provides research opportunities for PhD students. This allows Monash graduate research students to receive a stipend and travel grants to undertake PhD studies at both Monash and an A*STAR Research Institute in Singapore, where students will typically spend up to two years.

The AusIMM Education Endowment Fund (EEF) provides funding to attract and support students undertaking course of study appropriate to a career in the minerals industry. Apply for an EFF scholarship now and you could receive:

The Australia Awards scholarship is an initiative of the Australian Government to promote knowledge, education links, and enduring ties between Australia and our neighbours through an extensive scholarship program.

It aims to equip the next generation of world leaders from developing nations with the skills and research to improve their country's future.

The Heart Foundation offers funding for research conducted primarily in Australia. The Health Professional scholarship aims to encourage and support cardiovascular health professionals to undertake a PhD. The PhD may be in any area of cardiovascular research, including biomedical, clinical, public health and health services research.

NHMRC minimum data closing date: Minimum data must be entered in NHMRC’s granting system Sapphire by 10 June 2020 to allow NHMRC to start identifying suitable peer reviewers. Applications that fail to satisfy this requirement will not be accepted.
Note: NHMRC’s Research Help Centre (RHC) is experiencing a very high volume of new user account registration requests for Sapphire. Applicants to the Postgraduate Scholarship scheme who do not yet have a Sapphire account must lodge their user request form with RHC no later than 5pm AEST Monday 2 June 2020. Failure to do so may result in their application not proceeding. Applicants should allow up to 72 hours for account activation to occur.

The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) offer scholarships to support outstanding health and medical graduates early in their career so they can be trained to conduct research that is internationally competitive and develop a capacity for original independent research within Australia. The intended outcome of the Postgraduate Scholarships scheme is to build research capacity within Australia.
