Monash PITCH (PhD Interdisciplinary Team CHallenge) began in 2023 as part of the Monash commitment to foster collaboration with our campus communities and enhance interdisciplinary graduate global mobility.
The program brings together a cohort of high-performing HDR students from across the Monash campus network, drawn from both STEM and HASS disciplines. In interdisciplinary teams, students develop solutions to grand challenges identified in Monash's Impact 2030 Strategy which are also critical to the local context where the program is taking place.
Teams then pitch their solutions to local and global government, academic, philanthropic and industry experts. The solutions collectively form a resource for local stakeholders to draw upon in their efforts drive positive change in their communities.
