PITCH 2026
The 2026 Monash PhD Interdisciplinary Team Challenge (PITCH) will bring together high-performing graduate researchers from across Monash’s global campuses for an intensive, high-impact innovation experience. This fourth iteration of Monash's global mobility program will be hosted at our Monash City Campus from Monday 9th - Friday 13th November. Following the immense success of previous challenges in Prato, Malaysia, and Indonesia, the 2026 program will task the next generation of research leaders with addressing complex, real-world problems facing Victorian communities.
Operating in a fast-paced hackathon environment, participants will step out of their academic specialties to collaborate in diverse, cross-disciplinary teams. Combining perspectives from both STEM and HASS disciplines, these teams will spend an intensive week synthesising their research expertise, analysing local data, and conducting targeted fieldwork. Their ultimate objective will be to design and pitch scalable, data-driven solutions to socio-economic, environmental, and technological challenges deeply rooted in Victoria’s strategic landscape. This immersive experience will challenge researchers to translate complex theory into viable, actionable frameworks capable of shaping a sustainable future for Victoria.
