Criterion 1 - Engagement between University and Industry Partner

Long-term Collaboration Outcomes: Emphasize how the collaboration can generate results that extend beyond the scope of the PhD itself, showcasing the potential for continued success and benefits after the program ends.

Criterion 2 - Research feasibility and strategic alignment

Be sure to address risk mitigation in this section. Detail the specific strategies for identifying, addressing, and mitigating risks throughout the collaboration, ensuring the project stays on track despite uncertainties or challenges.

Criterion 3 - Project Impact

Societal Impact: Remember the aim of the NIPhD program is to bridge the gap between University research and Industry, so it is important to convey how your research will impact society (e.g. environment, education, community, economy). Demonstrate how the project will make a meaningful contribution to society, whether through innovation, addressing societal challenges, or creating positive change.

Criterion 4 - Capacity, capability, and resources to support the development of PhD Candidates

Expand on the standard capabilities and resources of the University. Highlight how the collaboration will provide resources and capabilities that go beyond the existing infrastructure at the University, ensuring a broader and more comprehensive research environment.
