Indonesian Women Impact Scholarship
The Indonesian Women Impact Scholarship scheme (formerly Indonesian Women in STEM Scholarship) supports high-achieving female graduate researchers from Indonesia to conduct research with impact.
The Indonesian Women Impact Scholarship provides a stipend to assist with living costs for a research Doctorate or Research Masters degrees at a Monash campus in Australia.

Am I eligible?
You must be one of the following:
- An International student
You must meet the following criteria:
- be a female graduate researcher from Indonesia conducting research with impact;
- meet Monash's competitive scholarship selection process requirements;
- meet Monash University's English language proficiency requirements; and
- not have commenced your degree.
This scholarship is also available to students undertaking Joint Research Awards when Monash University is the home institution.
Benefits
Monash will provide:
- a living allowance (stipend), and
- a relocation allowance for awardees who relocate to Victoria from interstate or from overseas.
Please note that any tuition fees and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) must be paid by you, unless you are sponsored by an organisation such as the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LDPD)
Number offered
Two scholarships per year (subject to suitable applicants):
- one in the Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) disciplines.
- one in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
Selection criteria
Monash scholarships are highly competitive and are awarded based on academic excellence, research outputs and prior research experience.
If successful in receiving a scholarship, please note that the standard terms and conditions as outlined in the RTP Scholarship Procedures apply, with the exceptions outlined in the eligibility criteria above.

Graduate research scholarships applications are submitted at the same time as your course application, unless you are already enrolled. Whether you are a new applicant or a current student, the myApp Portal is used for both course admission and scholarship applications.
Please ensure that you indicate that you are applying for the 'Indonesian Women Impact scholarship' in your application.
