This course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills to enable health professionals to effectively manage acute, chronic and complex wounds. The course builds on the Graduate Certificate of Wound Care (M4027), and you have the opportunity to undertake elective units relevant to your area of practice, career aspirations or interest.

You need to satisfy the following entrance requirements to be considered for entry to this course.

Minimum Entry Requirements (Domestic students)

Qualifications

Entry level 1: 48 points to complete - Duration either 2 to 3 years part-time An Australian bachelor degree in pharmacy, podiatry, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy or equivalent.
  • At least two years relevant clinical experience.
  • Professional registration.
International students located in Australia wishing to study this course must hold professional registration to practice in Australia and have the appropriate visa to allow part-time study. All other international students are only able to study this course in their country of residence. Students located outside Australia must also hold professional registration to practice in their country of residence.
Entry level 2: 24 points to complete - Duration 1 year part-time.A Monash Graduate Certificate of Wound Care with a minimum mark of 60% in all units.

IELTS (Academic): 7.0 Overall score, with minimum band scores: Listening 7.0, Reading 7.0, Writing 7.0 and Speaking 7.0 Pearson Test of English (Academic):  65 Overall score, with minimum scores: Listening 65, Reading 65, Speaking 65 and Writing 65TOEFL Internet-based test: 98 Overall score, with minimum scores: Reading 24, Listening 24, Speaking 23 and Writing 27Equivalent approved English test

Depending on prior qualifications you may receive entry level credit (a form of block credit) which determines your point of entry to the course:

If you are admitted at entry level 1 you will complete 48 credit points, comprising Parts A and B If you are admitted at entry level 2 you will complete 24 credit points, comprising Part B.
