The Graduate Certificate of Behaviour Change is designed to develop mindsets and applied skill-sets that enhance your capacity to unpack, critically analyse, and creatively address complex problems using fit-for-purpose, evidence-based tools. Our commitment to you is to prepare you, as emerging behaviour change specialists, for high-impact work in any sector or country, and across a range of key societal challenges. What you will learn will be applicable to any context or project where there is a need to influence behaviour towards a greater good.

Career outcomes

The Graduate Certificate of Behaviour Change prepares you for a career in business, government, the third sector and NGOs, in roles that require the skill to change how people work, and the systems they work within.

Key roles include Behavioural Insights Specialist and Behavioural Designer, Business Consultant/Development, Behaviour Analyst, Strategic Planner or Partnerships Manager, Campaigns Manager, Engagement Officer, Business Analyst, Senior Transformation Specialist, Policy & Research Officer.

This program is on-campus at Clayton, however many units are offered in flexible modes, including online. All students, regardless of study mode, are required to attend at least 2 x 3-day mandatory on-campus masterclasses throughout the course.

Entry Requirements

You need to satisfy the following entrance requirements to be considered for entry to this course.

Minimum Entry Requirements (Domestic students)

Qualifications

An Australian undergraduate degree (or equivalent) with at least 50% (pass) average, or a minimum of 3 years' work experience in a relevant field*.

*Applicants are required to provide a Curriculum Vitae and a reference

from their employer.

English requirements

Applicants must also meet the English language requirements.

You may apply to transfer from another Monash course. Transfers are a competitive process. You may apply mid-year for available courses however consideration will be given as to whether you will be able to follow your course progression.

Please note that if you apply for a course transfer, you should still enrol in your current course as if you were continuing so as not to jeopardise your enrolment in the Faculty if your transfer application is unsuccessful. More about Course Transfer.

The total fees for 2026 for this 24 credit point (6 month full-time or 12 month part-time) course are:

The equivalent fee per 48 credit points representing a standard full-time course load for 2026 would be A$46,400.
