The Monash Advanced Preparation Program (MAPP) offers a direct, accelerated pathway into your preferred Monash University undergraduate degree. Designed for successful Year 12 graduates who narrowly miss direct undergraduate entry, this intensive 16-week program builds your academic readiness through targeted learning and personalised support.
Through MAPP you’ll deepen your knowledge in key subject areas aligned with your future undergraduate degree and develop essential university skills such as academic writing, critical thinking, independent learning, and time management.
Delivered face-to-face in a supportive learning environment, the program is designed to give you the best possible start to your Monash journey.
Upon successful completion of the program, and meeting the required academic entry score and any applicable prerequisite subjects, you’ll gain guaranteed entry into the first year of an undergraduate degree at Monash University.

To be accepted into the Monash Advanced Preparation Program, you must meet the academic and English language requirements. You will also need to check the age requirements before you apply. Entry requirements for Monash University are subject to change.
University entrance requirements
Minimum entrance requirements for admission to Monash University Australia.
To successfully complete the Monash Advanced Preparation Program, you must pass four units (equivalent to 24 credit points), comprising of:
| One compulsory English unit | Introduction to Academic Communication This unit builds your English language proficiency and academic communication skills. Through a mix of independent and collaborative learning. You will develop your reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking abilities while engaging with diverse disciplinary perspectives and exploring contemporary global issues. |
| Three elective units | Select three elective units that align with your academic strengths and intended university pathway. The Monash Advanced Preparation Program offers flexible options and guaranteed entry into degrees across all 10 Monash University faculties. |

The total fees for 2026 for this 24 credit point (4 month full-time) course are:

Enrolment Obligations
International students enrolling in a CRICOS-registered course can study no more than one third (33%) of their course by distance and/or online learning. Students must enrol in at least one unit that is not by distance and/or online in each compulsory study period unless the student is completing the last unit of their course. See standard 8.19 and 8.20 of National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018.
