VCE Languages Conference:

Monash Arts Languages invites all VCE languages students and their teachers to the first statewide conference on language, social and cultural studies, held at Monash University Clayton Campus on 13 and 14 July, 2017.

Bachelor of Media Communication Showcase: Fake news and the changing face of Media Communication in the digital age:

What, exactly, is fake news? The past year has seen a phenomenal explosion of fake news stories on social media platforms such as Facebook. The term has also become muddied by public officials and politicians – most famously US president Donald Trump – using it to refer to news stories they claim are inaccurate or biased.

Join us for a Q&A-style debate with a panel of experts including our academic staff and local media and communication industry professionals. They will tackle questions around the rise of fake news and related issues about the changing nature of media and communication in the digital age.
