The ATAR or Australian Tertiary Admission Rank measures your overall academic achievement for VCE in relation to other students. It’s a rank – not a mark – so universities can see how well you perform, regardless of what subject combinations you take.
At Monash we provide you with information on three kinds of ATAR thresholds – the lowest selection rank to which an offer was made, the Monash Guarantee ATAR and the lowest ATAR to which an offer was made – so you can make better decisions about which courses to apply for.
If you have experienced educational disadvantage, you may be eligible for the Monash Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS). During the selection process, we may boost your ATAR scores so you have a better chance of getting into your desired course.
