Artificial Intelligence and Arts - C2009
The Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence and Bachelor of Arts combines technical capability with the critical thinking, communication and cultural understanding needed to navigate a rapidly changing world.
You'll choose between two AI specialisations: Applied Artificial Intelligence, which focuses on applying existing AI technologies to solve real-world challenges, or Artificial Intelligence Algorithms and Models, which explores the technical foundations of AI and how it's designed, developed and evolved.
Alongside this, you'll explore the social, political, historical and cultural influences that shape how technology is developed, adopted and governed, choosing from approximately 30 Arts majors across the humanities and social sciences.
Develop your technical capability through embedded professional practice units engaging industry and further work-integrated learning opportunities, including placements with leading organisations supported by an education grant.
Pair this with the flexibility of a Bachelor of Arts, where you'll choose a major that aligns with your interests while developing future-ready skills in communication, critical thinking, leadership and cross-cultural understanding. You'll explore global challenges, society and culture, and build the confidence to work across people, technologies and industries.
Arts internships see you work in an Australian or international organisation, learning new skills, building new contacts and consolidating your learning through reporting and reflecting on your internship experience. Internships are a great way to get practical experience and academic credit towards your Arts degree while exploring your passion and career choice.

Entry Requirements (Domestic students)
There are many ways to be considered for entry to a Monash University degree depending on your educational background and history. The below options reflect the academic requirements for the different applicant categories (or the highest level of education previously completed) to be considered for this Monash course. You may apply to transfer from another Monash course. Transfers are a competitive process. You may apply mid-year for available courses however consideration will be given as to whether you will be able to follow your course progression.
