This two-year double master's program gives you advanced insights into the finance industry – also the opportunity to explore areas as diverse as fintech, environmental finance and big data.

You’ll complete the Master of Management in the company of experienced professionals from all kinds of industry sectors and backgrounds. CFA Affiliation

Monash University is part of the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program and the Master of Advanced Finance is recognised by the CFA Institute, the global association for investment professionals that awards the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation. This means the Master of Advanced Finance course covers a minimum of 70 percent of all three topic levels of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge, thus assisting students in preparing for the CFA exams.

You need to satisfy the following entrance requirements to be considered for entry to this course.

Minimum Entry Requirements (Domestic students)

Qualifications

An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) with a major or minor* in finance with at least a high credit (65%) average or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA).

or

An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) and having passed the level I CFA examination or equivalent membership of a recognised professional finance program.

*A minor is at least four units (equivalent to 24 Monash credit points).

English requirements

Applicants must also meet the English language requirements.

You may apply to transfer from another Monash course. Transfers are a competitive process. You may apply mid-year for available courses however consideration will be given as to whether you will be able to follow your course progression.

Fees are per 48 credit points which represents a standard full-time course load for a year. The fees for 2026 are:
