Pharmacy Administration and Leadership - PDP1002

Our new Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Micro-credential provides tailored preparation, training and support for pharmacists who are new leaders and/or about to step into their first hospital leadership or management positions.

Designed to stimulate thinking about leadership and human resources within an evolving healthcare landscape, the program covers a wide range of topics that together provide a holistic view of leadership and management considerations. Essential leadership theory, core management and technology skills, business strategy and planning and leadership self-care methods underpin the program.

Upon completion of this course, learners will be equipped to perform more senior pharmacy roles with confidence. They’ll be aware of how to best relate to and manage a team, including end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and coaching techniques and processes. They’ll understand how they can use and develop skills to navigate teams through change, including managing more senior stakeholders. They’ll also be introduced to broader hospital operations, understanding how the pharmacy unit sits within the wider business, and how they can translate organisation-wide goals to cultivate high-performing teams.
