A Monash College Diploma of Business (Commerce) provides a pathway into the second year of a Monash University commerce or commerce specialist course.

Students are required to complete a wide range of compulsory subjects covering all aspects of business. They include management, marketing, economics, law, accounting and communication. A small number of electives are also available. <new line>
This course is suitable for students who have narrowly miss out on the entry scores required for directly entry into Monash University.

Minimum Entry Requirements (Domestic students)
Qualifications
To be accepted into a Monash College Diploma, you must meet the academic and English language requirements. You will also need to check the age, subject and course prerequisites before you apply.
Prerequisite subjects
You must meet the additional course prerequisite subjects which are equivalent to Australian Year 11 (part 1) or Australian Year 12 (part 2).

Please note: If you only have Mathematics (Australian Year 11 equivalent), during your Diploma you must complete MCD2130 Functions and Their Applications in order to meet the prerequisites for a business degree.
If you only have Mathematics (Australian Year 12 equivalent) and you wish to study a Faculty of Business and Economics undergraduate degree that requires higher-level Mathematics (Australian Year 12 equivalent), you must complete the Monash College unit MCD2130 Functions and Their Applications.

Minimum age requirements
Part 1: 16 years
Part 2: 16 years 6 months
If you do not meet the age requirements, you may be offered a deferred place.
