If you’re studying VCE or an interstate equivalent, or the International Baccalaureate (IB) at an Australian secondary school, you’ll need to apply for Monash courses through the Victorian Tertiary Admission Centre (VTAC). International students also undertaking VCE in an overseas location should also apply via VTAC.

If you're an international student undertaking:
and you don’t think you will meet the English language requirements for your Monash course, you should consider undertaking an approved English proficiency test such as Academic IELTS, Internet based TOEFL or the Pearson Test of English (Academic).
If you have completed several types of English proficiency tests over a period of time, the highest valid measure will be accepted, as long as it has been taken within 24 months prior to your Monash course commencement date. The highest English result will be accepted if it meets our entry requirements and is provided in time for assessment.

English Connect
All students have access to English Connect, a free service offering several co-curricular programs focusing on developing communication skills, academic and conversational language in cultural contexts. Programs include conversation classes, grammar and academic writing sessions, speaking with confidence workshops and sessions examining employment language.

Safety and security
Monash University is committed to the safety and security of its community. That’s why there are a number of initiatives in place to ensure your safety and security across all campuses. We have Monash Security officers patrolling each of our campuses 24/7, there is also a security escort service and courtesy buses available to assist you get around the campus after dark. You also have access to the Monash bSafe app.
