Graduate certificate
The Graduate Cetificate of Urgent and Primary Care prepares you to develop postgraduate capability in urgent, primary and community-based practice. In this course you will not only strengthen your skills and knowledge in assessment, decision making and management relevant to contemporary roles in urgent, primary and community based care, it will enable you to broaden your professional practice in these areas.
The course provides you with the opportunity to build greater confidence and capabilty in managing a wider range of patient presentations, working across diverse healthcare services and contributing to evolving models of care. As a graduate you will be equipped with a formal postgraduate qualification that supports extended practice development and may provide a pathway to further advanced practice study.

Entry Requirements
You need to satisfy the following entrance requirements to be considered for entry to this course.
Minimum Entry Requirements (Domestic students)
Qualifications
An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) with at least a pass (50%) average AND
A minimum of one year full-time equivalent relevant clinical experience in paramedicine or nursing at the time of commencement AND
Current registration as either a paramedic or a registered nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra).
English requirements
Applicants must also meet the English language requirements.

Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae (CV) which details the duration and nature of relevant clinical experience, and includes referee details for verification.

You may apply to transfer from another Monash course. Transfers are a competitive process. You may apply mid-year for available courses however consideration will be given as to whether you will be able to follow your course progression.
