ATAR scores
ATAR thresholds at Monash
Monash is committed to providing you with transparent information so you can make better decisions about which courses to apply for. We publish three ATAR thresholds so you can better understand your chances of getting an offer.

Lowest selection rank to which an offer was made
The lowest selection rank is the adjusted value – achieved ATAR combined with SEAS and or subject adjustment factors (if eligible) – that a Year 12 applicant would have needed to get into a particular course in the previous year/intake. You must also meet all course prerequisites and other criteria such as an audition or folio, if applicable.
Monash Guarantee ATAR
Every undergraduate Monash course has a Monash Guarantee ATAR, which has a fixed ATAR requirement for students who are eligible for specific categories of special consideration. If you meet the course eligibility criteria and achieve the Monash Guarantee ATAR, you will receive an offer for that course.
Lowest ATAR to which an offer was made
This is the lowest raw unadjusted ATAR of a Year 12 student offered a place for a particular course, prior to applying any SEAS and or subject adjustment factors. If eligible, the maximum adjustment we offer at Monash is 10 ATAR points. You must also meet all course prerequisites and other criteria such as an audition or folio, if applicable.
Other selection criteria
Admissions at Monash however are not only based on ATAR achievements. Some courses may have subject prerequisites for entry. Other courses may have additional selection criteria such as an admissions test, an interview, presentation of a portfolio, or an audition.
To help you understand the full entry requirements, please find a course and refer to the entry requirements listed on that course page.
