International student application process

When your application is received, we’ll assess your application to:

• determine whether you have met the minimum age requirements and the course entry requirements, and
• check whether you're a genuine student seeking entry to Australia to study if you're applying for a student visa.

You can learn more about the entry requirements of your preferred course on our course pages.

If your application is successful, you will receive one of the following offers, known as an International Student Course Agreement (ISCA):

• Full offer: This means you have satisfied all of the course entry requirements.
• Conditional offer: This means you must submit additional information to meet the course requirements specified in the ISCA. Usually, the additional information we need is documentation such as official final transcript, graduation certificate, or an English test result. You will be required to submit this information to us as soon as it is available to you for your application to be reassessed.

Your application will be assessed based on your highest course preference. If you are not successful in gaining entry into your first course preference your application will be considered and assessed:

• for your next preference, or
• for a pathway program (Foundation Year or Diploma) if you have listed this as a course preference in your application.

Please note that not all course preferences listed in your application may be assessed. After you receive an outcome, if you would like to be assessed for an alternative course preference, send your request to mu.documents@monash.edu.
