How to apply
Apply through VTAC if you're currently studying an Australian Year 12 in Australia or overseas, International Baccalaureate (IB) in Australia or New Zealand, or NCEA in New Zealand.
If you’re located in Crimea, Cuba, Donestsk, Iran, Luhansk, North Korea, Syria or South Sudan, you’ll need to apply for a course through a registered Monash agent (or an IDP office in your region if a Monash agent isn’t available).

You should ensure you meet all the entry requirements for the course and for general entry to university. Some courses have extra requirements such as a folio, personal statement, interview, etc.

Interstate Year 12 and IB students
You can check your IB score and prerequisite equivalents on the VTAC website and download the prerequisite subject list.
Special entry program
Monash University now accepts Gaokao for direct entry (pdf, 2.83 mb) into bachelor degrees.
Credit for prior learning
If you have passed units at other tertiary institutions, you may be eligible for a credit transfer. You need to apply before enrolling in a course. For details, see credit for prior learning.

International students can apply for a place anytime throughout the year. Teaching starts:
- Semester one: early March
- Semester two: mid-July
