The Diploma of Engineering offered at Monash College leads to a degree in engineering at Monash University.

Students are required to complete a wide range of compulsory subjects covering all aspects of engineering. They include mathematics, chemistry, computing, physics, communication, managing people and organisations, mechanical, chemical, civil, electrical, and materials engineering and engineering systems.
This course is suitable for students who:
- narrowly miss out on the entry scores required for directly entry into Monash University
- need to bridge the gap between their highest qualification and those required for entry to Monash University

Minimum Entry Requirements (Domestic students)
Qualifications
To be accepted into a Monash College Diploma, you must meet the academic and English language requirements. You will also need to check the age, subject and course prerequisites before you apply.
Prerequisite subjects
You must meet the additional course prerequisite subjects which are equivalent to Australian Year 11 (part 1) or Australian Year 12 (part 2).
Part 1: One of Science
Part 2: You must have studied Chemistry or Physics. If you did not complete Physics (Australian Year 12 equivalent) you must have completed Physics Australian Year 11 equivalent and must enrol in unit MCD4600 Intermediate Physics in place of MCD 4160 Physics for Engineering. Students in Biomedical Engineering must have completed Year 12 Physics.

Minimum age requirements
Part 1: 16 years
Part 2: 16 years 6 months
If you do not meet the age requirements, you may be offered a deferred place.
