Co-funded Monash Graduate Scholarship (CF-MGS)
Co-funded Monash Graduate Scholarships, provides a stipend to assist with living costs during study. Funded by Monash University and the enrolling faculty/academic unit, these scholarships support both domestic and international students undertaking Research Doctorate and Research Masters degrees at a Monash campus in Australia.

My scholarship has given me immense support financially, especially as an international student. I'm finally able to participate in extra-curricular activities, complete an internship, and focus on my research project, instead of having to work part-time. These have developed my technical skills for the medical field in future, and I also feel more self-confident in my abilities.

You must be one of the following:
- An Australian citizen
- A New Zealand citizen
- Australian permanent resident
- Australian humanitarian visa holder
- An International student

This scholarship is also available to students undertaking Joint Research Awards when Monash University is the home institution.
Benefits
The CF-MGS provides:
- a living allowance (stipend), and
- a relocation allowance, if eligible.
Successful international applicants will also be awarded a faculty tuition paying scholarship.
Selection criteria
Monash scholarships are highly competitive and are awarded based on academic excellence, research outputs and prior research experience.
If you are awarded a Co-funded MGS, it's important to familiarise yourself with the associated conditions and benefits as outlined in the policy and procedures.
How to apply
Graduate research scholarships applications are submitted at the same time as your course application, unless you are already enrolled. Whether you are a new applicant or a current student, the myApp Portal is used for both course admission and scholarship applications. You do not need to select specific scholarships, eligible applicants are automatically considered for all available graduate research scholarships.
