Professor Chris Marsden Appointed as Fellow at CITI

A Distinguished Career in Digital Law
Professor Marsden, who currently serves as the Director of the Digital Law Group at Monash Law and the Associate Director for Global Governance of the Data Futures Institute, has a long and storied career in the realm of digital law. His research focuses on the regulation of code—whether legal, software, or social—and he has authored five research monographs, two edited collections, and over 50 refereed articles and book chapters. His work has been widely cited, reflecting his influence and thought leadership in the field.
Before joining Monash Law, Professor Marsden held various academic and professional roles, including Professor of Law at Sussex Law School, Director of the Centre for Information Governance Research, and Co-Investigator in the UK Trusted Autonomous Systems Governance and Regulation consortium. His extensive experience also includes advisory roles for governments on digital law and policy since 1995.
