Carsales and Webmotors (Corporate Governance in Australia vs Brazil)

Lecture 1 - 10 April 2024

In 2023, Carsales increased its stake in Webmotors, a leading automotive classifieds business in Brazil. The transaction (and the initial purchase that preceded it) brought into sharp focus a number of fundamental corporate law concepts, including “the best interests of a company”, managing conflicts, and the commonalities and points of difference as corporate law is applied to cross border transactions.

This lecture will be presented by  Jonathan Wenig, Partner and Kaitie Boyd, Lawyer.
