Student Consultative Forum
The Law Faculty invites you to join the 2027 Student Consultative Forum. If you are interested in serving on the Student Consultative Forum, please complete the Student Consultative Forum - Expression of Interest online form by Friday 11 December 2026.

The Student Consultative Forum aims to extend the opportunities for students to have a voice within the Faculty. This forum is in addition to the elected student representatives on the Faculty Education Committee and does not replace the work of the student-run Law Students’ Society.
The Student Consultative Forum is intended to:
- Allow for open discussion between students and staff representatives on educational matters.
- Provide students with insight into the student administration, academic governance and quality assurance processes of the Faculty.
- Promote consultation with and student voices in the Faculty’s education activities and strategic initiatives.
The Faculty wishes to ensure a broad and diverse representation of students on the forum encouraging nominations from students from all backgrounds, including but not limited to students from low SES backgrounds, students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, students with disabilities, full-time and part-time students, and students from all year levels.
The composition of the Student Consultative Forum shall be as follows:
- 6 LLB student members.
- 6 JD student members.
- 3 LLM/graduate studies student members.
- The 2 student members of the Faculty Education Committee.
All Student Consultative Forum members are expected to serve a minimum one-year term and attend a minimum of three of the five meetings scheduled each year to receive formal recognition for their service on the forum.
Applicants will need to prepare a short statement (less than 500 words) setting out why they believe they would make an effective member of the Student Consultative Forum.
