Ahalya Kennedy
Ahalya Kennedy, 'Title Sequence : Shadows of the Straits'
This title sequence sets the tone for Shadows of the Straits, a noir-inspired show set in 1960s Singapore. Through bold silhouettes, graphic contrasts, and symbolic imagery, the piece reflects themes of surveillance, identity, and hidden power.
Ahalya Kennedy, 'Kinetic Type'
This kinetic type piece plays with texture, timing, and tone. With a hand-drawn, papery feel, it leans into the raw and imperfect, bringing a sense of tactility to motion. The goal was to let the words move in a way that feels human and expressive, where each shift, shake, or pause adds weight.
Ahalya Kennedy, 'Feminine Play '
Feminine Play is a curated exhibition exploring femininity through games and interactive media, challenging and expanding the idea of “play” as soft, intimate, expressive, or critical. Based on lead curator Stephanie Harkin’s thesis and guided by Prof. Xavier Ho, Luca Macissac and I worked together as communications designers. We developed the visual identity, combining playful yet thoughtful aesthetics to reflect the emotional and complex nature of femininity in interaction. The exhibition creates space for emotion, identity, care, and contradiction through design and gameplay.
