Ms Ange Ferguson
Ms Ange Ferguson is passionate about the ability of great software to change the world. Her career has been driven by the desire to create diverse, inclusive organisational cultures that enable positive change through technology.
With over two decades of global experience across industries and regions, including Australia, the US, UK, the Netherlands, India, Singapore, Thailand, and China, Ms Ferguson’s leadership has had a transformative impact. In 2013, she stepped into executive leadership, and by 2015, she was overseeing the Asia-Pacific region.
She was pivotal in establishing ThoughtWorks (a leading global technology consultancy) in Thailand and increasing diversity across ThoughtWorks Australia and the Asia-Pacific as Managing Director. Her role evolved further as she became Chief Transformation Officer from 2018 to 2024, when she led the organisation’s global strategic initiatives during a period of significant transformation.
She played an instrumental role in navigating ThoughtWorks’ journey from a founder-led organisation to private equity ownership and ultimately a successful IPO (Initial Public Offering). Under her leadership, the company transitioned from a geo-centric to a client-centric model, while she also spearheaded the creation and growth of a new digital transformation service line.
Ms Ferguson’s exceptional leadership in the tech sector was celebrated in 2022 when she won the Executive Leader category at the B&T Women Leading Tech Awards.
Beyond her executive roles, Ms Ferguson has served on the Advisory Board for Hitnet, helping bring critical health information to some of the world’s hardest-to-reach communities. She also advised a government-backed IT traineeship programme, supporting non-traditional entry paths into the tech industry. Currently, she is a member of the Monash Faculty of Information Technology's Dean’s Industry Advisory Council, where she provides strategic guidance and expertise to help strengthen our faculty’s education, research, and innovation capabilities.
Today, Ms Ferguson continues to share her insights as the Founder of Ange Ferguson Coaching and Consulting, where she advises executives and organisations working at the intersection of business and technology, guiding them to unlock their full potential.
Ms Ferguson holds a Bachelor of Computing degree from Monash University.
