CDL experience for students

Are you a Monash Business School student ready to experience innovation up close and build the skills to lead in a fast-changing world?

BEX3195 Creative Destruction Lab Prime / BEX5195 Creative Destruction Lab Prime is a new experiential learning unit which offers an in-depth exploration of the innovation economy, focusing on ventures at the intersection of science, entrepreneurship, and societal impact.

Through CDL-Melbourne, Monash University’s partnership with Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) - a world-renowned program connecting founders with leading mentors and investors - you’ll gain hands-on experience within the CDL ecosystem. You’ll analyse business models, assess investment opportunities, and apply critical thinking to real venture decisions.

This unit gives you the opportunity to:

  • Engage with innovative ventures in fields like AI, clean tech, and life sciences;
  • Learn from CDL mentors and industry experts who support entrepreneurs around the globe;
  • Develop analytical and decision-making skills valued by employers; and
  • Think critically and act decisively in the high-stakes world of frontier innovation—turning insight into impact.

  • Who can enrol

    Undergraduate students enrolled in a Monash University Faculty of Business and Economics program who have completed 72 credit points. Postgraduate students enrolled in a Monash University Faculty of Business and Economics program who have completed 24 credit points.*
