Grievance Mechanisms and Remediation Roundtable

Dr Nga Pham will moderate a Roundtable discussion on indicators for effective modern slavery grievance mechanisms and remediation. The roundtable is organised by the University of Sydney, with participants from MCFS Monash, UTS, the University of Sydney, the Salvation Army, the Red Cross, and the International Justice Mission.
Research Presentation to the Government's Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery Research Network

Dr Ummul Ruthbah presented an update on the four-year progress of modern slavery disclosure quality to the HTMS Research Network. The network members are government officials, academic institutions, companies and non-profit organisations.
Monash–Q Group Finance Colloquium 2025
Dr Nga Pham will be chairing a session on key topics including AI in quantitative investing, robust portfolio optimisation with stochastic reference controls, and the role of AI in fundamental investing at the Monash–Q Group Finance Colloquium 2025.
In addition, Dr Ummul Ruthbah will be presenting her research paper titled “Performance of Australian Super Funds: The Contribution of Alternatives and Active Management.”

The roundtable will feature an introduction by MCFS about its recent research on how illiquid assets and active management have contributed to the returns of Super Funds which will be followed by a keynote presentation from leading impact investment manager Blue Orchard, focusing on portfolio diversification and the measurable impact of microfinance as an asset class.
