The Monash Centre for Financial Studies (MCFS), in collaboration with Green Lab at Monash Business School, is undertaking a strategic research initiative focused on identifying and promoting leading practices among Australian companies that are aligning with net-zero emissions and nature-positive objectives.
This project investigates how firms are integrating climate and biodiversity goals into their financial strategies, risk disclosures, and operational frameworks. By analysing corporate commitments, reporting practices, decarbonisation levers and the effectiveness of nature-related initiatives, our joint research aims to provide actionable insights for policymakers, investors, and corporate leaders.
Drawing on MCFS’s financial and policy expertise and Green Lab’s environmental research leadership, the study contributes to Australia’s broader sustainability transition by highlighting scalable solutions and best-practice frameworks for decarbonization and natural-positive objectives.
